The Fourth Room of the Elite 4, Aero's Airport (READ BEFORE CHALLENGING)
You, the strong-willed trainer who has made it to the final Elite Four chamber prior to the Champion's room, have just stepped through a pair of mahogany double-doors and stepped into a beautiful field, vivid greenery, in the form of grass and the trees dotted across the open-air arena, through which in the middle runs a small creek. Flowers bloom in patches around the area, delivering an elegant aroma that makes one desire a nap, but that isn't what you came for. "So, you are my challenger, I welcome you to my pasture." Your eyes are stripped away from the entrancing surroundings and you find your gaze glued to a handsome red-haired man wearing a green tunic under a brown leather vest and brown slacks. Well then, Mr. Challenger, let's take this battle... TO THE SKIES!" After the red-haired man raised his hands and shouted to the heavens, the ground began to shake violently and the low drum of heavy-duty hydraulics could be heard seeping up through the ground, then the platform began to move upward, along with you and Aero, the Elite 4's "Lord of the Skies".
Special Field Warning: This area you are entering is designated as a "Special Field", or "Arena" as it is commonly known. This field favors flying types, as it is located in the stratosphere, high above the ground.
Arena Bonuses: +5% to the stats of all Flying Type Pokemon, excluding MAX HP.
High up in the air is highly suitable for Flying Type Pokemon. Their lungs are built to be able to withstand less oxygen intake, and the winds swirling around the arena boost their capabilities.
Arena Penalties: -5% to the stats of all NON Flying Type Pokemon, excluding MAX HP.
Being at high altitudes is not suited for many Pokemon. The low oxygen levels deplete energy and the raging winds buffer hinder movement and deplete combat capabilities.
